Downtown Colorado Springs welcomed a dedicated food truck lot this weekend, offering locals a place to gather and enjoy a variety of lunch and dinner options. It’s the first such location in nearly a decade, after an “experimental” food truck lot across downtown near Palmer High School closed in 2016.

SRM transforms old ‘4U Motel’ into transitional housing for formerly homeless in Colorado Springs

Springs Rescue Mission is excited to announce that it has completed renovations to the former “4U Motel” in downtown Colorado Springs. The new building will offer 12 units of transitional housing under the name “The Studios by Springs Rescue Mission.”

Sage Hospitality Group Plans Catbird Hotel, Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado —Sage Hospitality Group and Norwood Development Group have submitted a preliminary proposal to build a new Catbird Hotel in downtown Colorado Springs, at the corner of East Moreno Avenue and South Cascade Avenue.? The proposal envisions a new full-service, independent, extended-stay hotel, which will include 180 rooms, dining, and meeting spaces.

Egg-cellent art: The story behind Colorado Springs’ eye-catching Humpty Dumpty sculptures

These bronze, round characters have become a staple of Colorado Springs. In July, the Plaza of the Rockies added three Humpty Dumpty sculptures, created by Minneapolis-based artist Kimber Fiebiger. This brings the city’s collection to just under two dozen statues, with the majority downtown.
