A heartfelt Home Blessing Ceremony was held on July 15 to honor U.S. Army veteran Sergeant Travis Blackman as he prepares to move into his new specially adapted home in the new Percheron neighborhood. The intimate gathering, hosted in partnership with Helping a Hero, Lennar, and Norwood Development Group, celebrated the resilience, service, and spirit of a true American hero.

It’s the first such location in nearly a decade, after an “experimental” food truck lot across downtown near Palmer High School closed in 2016.

Sage Hospitality Group Plans Catbird Hotel, Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado —Sage Hospitality Group and Norwood Development Group have submitted a preliminary proposal to build a new Catbird Hotel in downtown Colorado Springs, at the corner of East Moreno Avenue and South Cascade Avenue.? The proposal envisions a new full-service, independent, extended-stay hotel, which will include 180 rooms, dining, and meeting spaces.
